Adam Zampa Breaks Silence on IPL Omission and Exciting PSL Move

Australian spinner Adam Zampa is currently enjoying his time in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) playing for the Karachi Kings. He revealed his decision to skip the IPL and join PSL this year, saying the lack of financial parity forced him to make this surprising move.

“To be brutally honest, for someone with my skill set, the money just isn’t there compared to what’s available for other skill sets. Considering the amount of time the IPL requires, it didn’t seem like a reasonable choice for me to keep playing.” said Adam Zampa while talking to a local reporter.

Zampa revealed that he was planning to take a break from cricket, but the PSL call came suddenly, offering him an exciting opportunity to play the league for the first time.

“I was planning to take a break, but then the PSL came onto the radar about a month ago. It all happened pretty quickly, but I’m enjoying it.” said Adam Zampa.

Speaking about the recent Karachi Kings vs Lahore Qalandars clash, he said it was a tight contest that showcased the competitiveness of the league.

“Yeah, good. You know, looking at the team we played against, you can see the names in their squad and the quality, particularly of their bowling attack. It’s almost an international-quality bowling attack," said Adam Zampa.

"We were chasing 129, so for them to make it so close down to the wire, I think it really shows the quality of their bowling. There are definitely some good teams out there," added Adam Zampa.

He then applauded the Qalandars captain Shaheen Afridi, saying he is a remarkable player who always bowls with full intensity to give his team the best chance to secure victory.

"One player I really enjoy watching is Shaheen Afridi. I played against him yesterday. He bowled really well and took four wickets. It always feels like something exciting is happening whenever he’s bowling," said Adam Zampa.
