Devon Conway Responds to IPL Remarks During PSL Campaign

Devon Conway Responds to IPL Remarks During PSL Campaign

New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Devon Conway has cleared the air regarding a recent statement circulating on social media. He said the post about his interest in the ongoing IPL 2026 was not made by him, as it came from a fake account impersonating him.

Earlier this week, a post from a fake X account pretending to be Devon Conway went viral on social media. The purpose of that post was to give a wrong impression that Conway was more interested in the IPL instead of playing in the PSL 2026.

"Hard to sit this one out... Watching CSK lose to Rajasthan Royals hurts. Right now I'm locked in with PSL duties, but revenge at Chepauk will always be on my mind," a fake account on X impersonating Devon Conway posted the message for CSK.

The post spread quickly on social media, causing fans to discuss whether Devon Conway should talk about the IPL while playing in the PSL.

Addressing these concerns, Devon Conway came forward with his official Instagram account to dismiss the post. He also clarified that he does not have accounts on X or Facebook, so the fans should ignore this fake account.

"Hey guys, please ignore this X account impersonating me. I am not on X/Facebook and this account is not affiliated with me in any way," said Devon Conway on his Instagram story.

"I have reported it and hopefully it can be taken down as soon as possible." added Devon Conway.

Devon Conway previously played for Chennai Super Kings in three IPL editions. Due to this, fans began speculating about his commitment for the PSL, but Conway has cleared all the rumors.

He is currently representing Islamabad United in the PSL 2026, and is fully committed to perform well for the team. Although his performance in the last match between Islamabad United vs Multan Sultans was a bit disappointing, the New Zealand star is confident that he can turn things around in the upcoming games.
