Islamabad Hit Back as Quetta Slip to 71/2 in 8.2 Overs

Islamabad Hit Back as Quetta Slip to 71/2 in 8.2 Overs

QG vs IU: Quetta had things under control, then Islamabad struck again and pulled the game back. The score remains 71, but the momentum has clearly shifted.

Saud Shakeel remains there on 42 from 25, composed and still finding the gaps, but the support around him has thinned after another wicket.

Shamyl Hussain had already departed earlier, and this latest blow has disrupted Quetta’s rhythm, with a noticeable dip in energy around the ground as uncertainty begins to creep in.

Hassan Nawaz has just walked in, still settling. Islamabad have read the moment well, keeping it tight and waiting for the mistake. Shadab Khan delivered the breakthrough, and just like that, the inning is exciting.

The PSL live score updates now show Islamabad nudging ahead, 52 percent to Quetta’s 48. It’s a small gap, but in a game moving this fast, it matters.

Imad Wasim has kept things tight again. Quetta are being made to work for every run now. And that’s the key difference from the first few overs.

The Quetta Gladiators vs Islamabad United contest has shifted from early control to a test of composure. Quetta now need to rebuild, and much depends on whether Shakeel can bat deep.

Islamabad, sensing the opening, will keep pushing for another breakthrough. The turn came quickly, and one more wicket could put Quetta under real pressure.
