Pakistan Gain Control of Second Test After Sajid and Usman's Bowling Heroics

Pakistan moved into a commanding position on the third day of the second Test, as Sajid Khan and Ali Usman caused major damage to the West Indies batting lineup. Sajid picked up four wickets, while Usman claimed two scalps to stun the home side late in the day.

West Indies were struggling at 103/6 by the end of the third day's play, managing a lead of just 60 runs after 40.5 overs. All-rounder Justin Greaves was still at the crease on one run when stumps were drawn.

After falling 43 runs behind Pakistan in the first innings, West Indies started their second innings positively. Openers Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kavem Hodge added 40 runs quickly before Sajid Khan dismissed Chanderpaul lbw in the 10th over.

Amir Jangoo came in and added 22 runs with Hodge for the second wicket. However, his stay was cut short when Sajid bowled him in the 18th over.

Hodge then built another small partnership, this time with captain Roston Chase, as they added 12 runs for the third wicket. Their stand ended when Ali Usman got the crucial wicket of Hodge at 74 runs.

Shai Hope then joined Chase after Hodge's departure and the pair managed a careful 25-run partnership for the fourth wicket. Sajid eventually removed Hope late in the day to put Pakistan in a stronger position.

Ali Usman gave Pakistan a late boost by taking the wicket of West Indies captain Roston Chase on the final delivery of the day. Chase's cautious innings ended at 17, giving the home side another jolt right at the stumps.

Sajid Khan remained the most notable bowler for Pakistan in the second innings of the ongoing contest. He took four wickets for 32 runs in 12 overs, while Ali Usman also supported him well by claiming two wickets for 29 runs.

At the end of the third day, Pakistan are certainly looking in the driver's seat, as they haven’t allowed West Indies to score quickly in the second innings. The green shirts will now aim to wrap up their innings early in the morning tomorrow, as Sajid Khan and Ali Usman have given them a strong edge in the contest.
